Two Pembrokeshire businesses have been ‘highly commended’ at an awards ceremony.

Earlier this month the ‘Wales Children's Activities and Services Awards 2022’ was held at the Swansea.Com stadium, with ‘Fun Times Bouncy Castles and Entertainments’ and ‘Kalma Life Pembrokeshire’ - both Milford Haven based, receiving ‘Highly Commended’ in their awards categories.

Fun Times’ managing director Lee Bridges accepted the ‘Events and Party Services of the Year' award, whilst the ‘Customer Excellence of the Year' accolade was presented to Kalma Life representative Amy

Kalma Life offers classes for all ages, from baby yoga all the way to wellbeing and mindfulness classes for teenagers. Classes are available in the community and within the education sector. The classes are relaxed in a fun and stimulating environment and can really aid the development of children and bring huge health and well being benefits to all.

Fun Times Bouncy Castles and Entertainments was founded by Lee 14 years ago and has been grown from a small garage run side business into the largest inflatable hire company in Wales and one of the top five in the whole of the UK.

Fun Times is now a multi-award winning business, having also won recognition as ‘Best Inflatable Hire Company in Wales’ in the last two years consecutively at the UK Enterprise Awards and also the UK Prestige Awards.

“I make it no secret that our business faced bankruptcy as a real and serious threat during the peak of covid as our business was brought to a near stand still as a result of lockdowns,” said Lee.

“However through persistence and good fortune we were able to come out the other side stronger and with the business adapted and strengthened as a result.

“Working in our industry is incredibly antisocial as we work incredibly long hours over weekends providing Fun Times to others, but to receive recognition through these awards makes it all the more worthwhile to know we are having a meaning impact on our customer lives doing a great job providing the best service possible,” he added.
