A number of Pembrokeshire beaches have won Seaside Awards.
Amroth, Coppet Hall, Lydstep, Saundersfoot, together with Tenby's Castle, North and South will now be able to fly the distinctive yellow and beach flag as 'resort' beaches, while 'rural' beach honours go to Barafundle, Manorbier, Penally and Wiseman's Bridge.
All the beaches selected have attained the European Union standard of bathing water quality and have satisfied the judges that the standard of the built infrastructure, the applicants' environmental aspirations and overall beach management meets the high standard expected by the discerning visitor.
Of the 111 award-winning beaches announced for Wales, 58 were awarded to 'rural' beaches that will be noted for their beauty and will have met a minimum of 15 land based criteria. The remaining 53 beaches are classified as 'resort' beaches and they will be amongst the better known urban beaches where 30 criteria had to be met.
The awards are managed in Wales by Keep Wales Tidy and chief executive Lesley Jones commented: "These days holiday makers are faced with many uncertainties but what is now fact is that Wales can boast a record number of beaches that will meet the expectations of the most discerning visitor."
