St. John's Community Hall management committee has recently received a grant of £2,820 for the purchase of seven new computers for the Pembroke Dock hall, from the lottery-funded grants programme, 'Awards for All Wales'. This investment in seven new computers will ensure that the hall's IT Gallery Suite continues to be a state-of-the-art computer resource for the community of Pembroke Dock. All computers in the IT suite are connected directly to broadband internet, and the grant means that the older computers will be replaced in time for January 2007. Vanessa Owen, chairman of the hall's board of trustees, said: "We are very grateful to the 'Awards for All Wales' grant. This new investment in IT will ensure the continuation of our existing IT activities which are now well established, but the new equipment will also enable us to pilot new IT based activities and training initiatives. I would definitely recommend the 'Awards for All Wales' grants programme."
