AMONG the recent High Sherriff of Dyfed Awards at Nant-y-Ffin Hotel, Phil Thompson, of Chevron (Pembroke Refinery) received a community award. Col. Dai Davies commented the award was in recognition of great and valuable services to the community.
The High Sheriff added that it also recognised the "appreciation of the residents and people of the county for activity and contribution for enhancing the life of the community."
He went on to describe the many examples of the community and charity fund-raising activities which he had staged on behalf of Chevron and the local community.
