Paramedic, John Hart, who is based at Tenby Ambulance Station, has been awarded a long service and good conduct medal. John started working for the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust on February 23, 1983, so has clocked up more than 22 years of dedicated service. The Ambulance Service (Emergency Duties) Long Service and Good Conduct Medal is awarded under Royal Warrant issued by Her Majesty the Queen. To be recommended for the award of the medal, an ambulance technician or paramedic must have completed at least 20 years' service on front-line emergency duties - during which his or her character and conduct must have been exemplary. John's main hobby is music; he plays the keyboard, and performs live gigs in a duo called 'Now and Then'.
