Members of Tenby's Avenue Centre recently took the plunge by taking part in a fund-raising swim at the town's Leisure Centre.
Over 200 lengths were swum and in excess of £600 was raised for local and national charities and organisations by the charity dippers.
On Monday, the swimmers made a special presentation to representatives of the charity groups, while Tenby Leisure Centre manager Rob Thomas was also on hand to present the fund- raisers with their certificates of achievement.
Brian Quinlan and Andrew Mason raised £13 and £110, respectively, to give to David Rees, LVO of Tenby Lifeboat; £40 from Tracy O'Brien and £106 from Wayne Llewellyn was presented to Hilary Harvey of Wales Air Ambulance (Kimberly Wooley and her brother Simon jointly raised £202 also towards Wales Air Ambulance, but were unable to make the presentation); Helen Cloud presented £17 to Majella Thomas, of the Gateway Club; James Merriman presented £255 to senior sister Lindsey Symmonds to be shared by the Coronary Care Unit and the Chemotherapy Units at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.
The swimmers would also like to thank Barbara Morris, who kindly counted the lengths at the charity swim, and Sue Brown, who designed the certificates.
