The Pembroke Autograss Club (PAC) held their third meeting of the 2004 season at Lamphey, recently, when autograss racing was at its very best.
The track is now becoming well-established as an excellent flat, fast, exciting race track, where skilful drivers can produce outstanding autograss racing on its long wide straights and corners, with plenty of space to manoeuvre.
All classes produced close and exciting racing, with only one rollover on the day, which resulted in a spectacular topple for Raymond Morgons PAC45. After driver and race car had been checked, both were able to resume racing in the Grand Class 1 Final.
Along with the local clubs, several other autograss clubs were represented - Radford, Severn Valley and North Shropshire.
There were many different winners at this meeting, which was also the Pembroke Autograss Club's second qualifying national round for the autograss championships in August. The points remain very close in nearly all the 10 different men's classes.

The next race meeting of the Pembroke Autograss Club will be on Sunday, May 9, at 12 noon, which will be the third national qualifying round, where over 100 competitors are expected at the Lamphey race track.
