A local author is looking to organise a small book fair with other local writers in Tenby.

Judith Barrow, author of Silent Trauma, Pattern of Shadows, and its soon to be released follow-up, Changing Patterns, has set a provisional date of Friday, September 20, for the fair, which is supported by Tenby Library, and to be held in the hall at the Greenhill Community Learning Centre.

"The format would be for any Pembrokeshire authors to get together to promote, sell or talk about their books," explained Judith.

"There would also be short workshops, say 15 minutes, for any budding authors or anyone who would be interested in writing.

"At the moment I run two classes for creative writing in Tenby and Bloomfield for Pembrokeshire Adult Learning, under the umbrella of Pembrokeshire County Council, and we are hoping to start a beginners class at the Regency Hall in Saundersfoot and also one in Pembroke Dock.

"So far, it would only be myself giving taster sessions, talking about the proposed classes and holding workshops, but I'm hoping other authors might be willing to also give short workshops on the day," added Judith.

The fair, which would start at 1 pm, is to be supported by Tenby Library, who will also supply refreshments.
