Locally-based writer Judith Barrow will be giving a talk and reading from her latest work at Tenby library tonight (Friday).

'Pattern of Shadows' is her first adult novel and is a gritty and moving saga set in World War Two.

Published by Honno Welsh Women's Press this week, it was shortlisted in the Cinnamon Press Awards.

Born in Lancashire, Judith now lives near Kilgetty with her husband David and her King Charles spaniel, Lucy, and has had short stories, poems, plays, reviews and articles published throughout the British Isles.

"When I'm not writing," she says, "I can be found hanging around libraries, doing research for my writing and walking the Pembrokeshire countryside."

Judith is presently working on her third novel, 'A Quiet Trauma', which she describes as a work of fiction based on fact.

The evening starts at 6 pm.
