It was G'day and Croeso from the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, on Sunday, when she welcomed members of the Sydney Welsh Choir to a special reception in the Mayor's Parlour. It was the Australian choir's first official visit to Tenby where they were performing in St. Johns Church as part of Tenby Arts Festival during a concert tour of the UK. To mark the occasion, the choir performed acapella versions of the Welsh National Anthem and 'We'll keep the home fires burning', before Clr. Mrs. Lane presented the choir's musical director, Viv Llewellyn, with a town council plaque for display in the choir's rehearsal room. Choir president Clive Woosnam reciprocated with a choir plaque.
