LOCAL drama group, Narberth Talespinners, are holding auditions on Monday, November 15, for three one-act comedies to be performed at the Queens Hall, Narberth, next April. Earlier this year, one of the group's plays - Alan Ayckbourn's 'A Cut in the Rates' - went on to win two awards at the Pembrokeshire Drama Association's 2003 One Act Festival in the Torch Theatre. This year, the plays being performed are: 'Shop for Charity' by Charles Mander and two comedies by the ever-popular playwright David Tristram, 'What's for Pudding' and 'The Fat Lady Sings in Little Grimley'. This play completes the outrageously funny trilogy of Tristram comedies that started with 'Last Tango in Little Grimley' and will be the first time this brand new comedy is performed in Pembrokeshire. The Talespinners are looking for both experienced amateur actors, and anyone interested in acting, to join them for this new production. Male and female, lead, and supporting roles are available with age ranges from 30s to 60s. They also need people to work behind the scenes: props, scenery, costumes and make-up. Auditions will be held at the Begelly Arms, Begelly, at 7.30 pm, on Monday, November 15. Turn up on the day or call 01437 532688 or 01834 810179 to find out more.
