A 26-year-old man from the Derby area has appeared in court accused of attempted murder following an incident in Narberth. A 37-year-old man, who has been named as Christopher Gallagher, sustained multiple stab wounds in the incident on Friday at the town's Noble Court Caravan Site. Mr. Gallagher was taken to Withybush Hospital, but his injuries were thought to be not life-threatening. Richard Colin Edwards, of 62 Carlyle Street, Sinfin, who appeared before magistrates in Haverfordwest on Monday, was also charged with section 18 assault and possession of cocaine. Magistrates referred the case to Swansea Crown Court on August 30 and he was remanded in custody. Police, meanwhile, have conducted an extensive search of the Narberth area, but at this stage the weapon used in the attack is still outstanding. The weapon has been described as a kitchen knife with a black handle and 10-inch blade. Police are appealing for anyone with any information regarding the location of this knife, which may have been disposed of in the Narberth area during the early morning of Friday, to contact Tenby or Pembroke Dock Police stations on 0845 330 2000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
