This was the Athletic team's third league win away this season and with three first team players making a comeback from injuries and with the side finishishing with five youth team players, it's starting to take shape at the club.

Winger Tom Dennis opened the scoring after only two minutes after good work from the scrum and a strong run from number eight John Tennick, who was playing his first game for several months after a knee injury.

Unfortunately, youth team fly-half Tom Richards could not add the extras.

The home team set-piece was under great pressure and totally against the run of play centre Carl Edwards picked up a loose ball to run in a try for Felinfoel.

The Athletic pack started to dominate the set-piece and number eight Tennick was held up or unable to ground the ball on a couple of occasions.

Just before the break, a great passing movement involving both forwards and backs ended with Craig Barnett scoring a great team try to give the visitors a lead of five points at the break.

In the second half, an early Tom Richards penalty extended the Otters' lead and only some military refereeing stopped the game from flowing.

No-one suffered more than scrum-half Rhys Davies, who gave away five 'not straights' in the game, doubling his total for his career!

Davies put in a good up-and-under and with the Foel fullback unable to deal with the ball, centre Barnett popped up to score his second try. This came after a great work by full-back Sion Brace, another playing his first game after a long injury.

Richards added another penalty to make the game safe and there was only just time for Felinfoel number eight Gareth Smith to end the scoring for the day.

Athletic prop Gareth Bevan was nominated man of the match.
