Nick Bourne, Assembly Member for Mid and West Wales and Welsh Conservative Leader in the National Assembly for Wales, has received an assurance from the Assembly Transport Minister that improvements to the traffic lights on the A477 trunk road at Broadmoor will be completed in July. Nick Bourne had previously been assured that the much-needed improvements were to have been completed in the financial year 2006/07. When these did not materialise he wrote to the Minister again. Nick Bourne said: "I have now been assured that the remedial works on the traffic signals will commence in the near future and will be completed before the summer roadworks embargo which is due to come into force on July 20."
