AN exhibition of the work of Pembrokeshire artist, Cynthia Jones, is currently on show at Haverfordwest's Oriel Emrys Gallery.
Cynthia took up painting after her retirement from the Gatehouse Coffee Shop in the town, yet her work has a vitality and willingness to experiment that puts many younger artists to shame.
Her themes are often derived from the local landscape, but interpreted through degrees of abstraction.
Her media includes acrylic, oil, watercolour and collage and she is not afraid of mixing them together.
Cynthia has exhibited in many Welsh galleries, both in solo and group shows and still works and paints in Haverfordwest.
The exhibition opened on Saturday and runs until October 4. The gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Saturday. Admission is free.
