Police have confirmed that search warrants executed in the county during the early hours of Wednesday were not linked to any form of terrorist activity.
Six warrants issued under the Firearms Act and Misuse of Drugs Act were simultaneously executed by Dyfed Powys Police in the Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven areas.
Armed officers were involved in containing a number of these premises and other unarmed officers were involved in the subsequent search and arrest of a number of local people.
In total, nine persons were arrested for offences of conspiracy to possess illegal firearms and conspiracy to supply controlled drugs. All were later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Pembrokeshire police would like to reassure members of the public that these warrants were not linked to any form of terrorist activity and that residents in the area are not at risk from any of the individuals targeted during this operation.
A high visibility police presence will be maintained in the areas of Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven to provide added reassurance following this operation.
In the initial phase of the operation it was necessary to divert traffic and pedestrians away from some of the areas targeted to ensure the personal safety of residents, the police and occupants.
The police would like to thank those residents and members of the public affected or inconvenienced by this operation for their patience, co-operation and understanding.
