Sir, Rumour has it that Tenby is about to be endowed with another charity shop; this will make a total of six in the main shopping area. I also note that the newest and prominent building in White Lion Street next to Premier Inn is to become a 'Poundland' shop. Are these the type of businesses we want to have in Tenby, when we are to trying to encourage and enhance a more upmarket resort? I personally believe those letting to this type of outlet need to consider the likely adverse impact that such businesses can have on a retail environment and tourist product that is already under considerable pressure. I appreciate that we do not want to see empty shops in Tenby but surely we need something more in keeping to maintain our position as the 'Jewel in the Crown' of Pembrokeshire.
