Married on Saturday at St. Twynnells Church were Mr. Roger Philip Ivor Lewis and Miss Sarah Claire Minchin.
The groom, son of Philip and Sheila Lewis, of Poyerston Farm, Cosheston, is a farmer, while the bride, daughter of Roger and Elizabeth Minchin, of Newton Lodge, Manorbier Newton, works as a paediatric staff nurse at Glangwili Hospital.
Both are actively involved in South Pembs. Young Farmers Club, where they first met, with Roger being a past club county chairman.
Given away by her father, the bride looked beautiful in an organza ivory line skirt with a puddle train and strapless organza bodice with antique silver embroidery. She carried a teardrop bouquet of sweetpeas, honeysuckle, lily of the valley and Singapore orchids with a trail of ivy.
Chief bridesmaid was Miss Amy Minchin (bride's sister), and bridesmaid was Miss Caroline Lewis (groom's sister). Both wore antique gold bolero dresses shot with purple and carried small teardrop bouquets matching the bride's.
Best man was Edward Davies (groom's friend) and the ushers were Andrew Thomas, (groom's cousin), Neil Batchelor (groom's friend) and Michael and Paul Morris (bride's cousins).
The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. J. Gale and the organist was Mr. Brian Nicholas.
As they left the church, the newly-weds made their way through an archway of pitchforks held by members of South Pembs YFC, before moving on to the reception at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel, Pembroke Dock.
Following a honeymoon touring the Lake District and The Royal Show, Roger and Sarah will be setting up home at Poyerston Lodge, Cosheston.
