A first ever day school focusing on Pembrokeshire's rich archaeological heritage will be staged at the end of this month. Anyone with an interest in archaeology cannot afford to miss out on the all-day get together which is being co-hosted by Cambria Archaeology and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority. High profile speakers have been lined up and sessions will cover a selection of recent archaeological work in the county. Speakers will include Professor Geoffrey Wainwright, who works on prehistoric sites in the Preselis, along with Dr. Harold Mytum, who has carried out work at Castell Henllys Iron Age Hill Fort, and project managers from Cambria Archaeology. The day school is at Pembrokeshire College on Saturday November 27, beginning at 9.30 am, and is open to all. Places are limited and have to be reserved in advance. Polly Groom, National Park archaeologist who also works with Llandeilo-based Cambria Archaeology, said: "We hope that this will become an annual event. We are bringing together a variety of people who are working on some fascinating projects." Places can be reserved for a fee of just £5, which includes lunch and refreshments.
