THE Pembrokeshire Advisory Committee of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society is seeking applicants for the following 2003 and 2004 competitions:

The 2003 Sir Bryner Jones Award - 'to a member or associate members of Young Farmers' Club under the age of 30 (on January 1, 2003), who is engaged in practical farming, and who has contributed in an exceptional way to farming practice and to the YFC movement'.

The 2003 Agri-environment Award - gives recognition to farmers for their crucial work as custodians of the countryside. All applications must come from projects on working farms which are sensitively managed to conserve and enhance their natural resources. You can apply for the award whether or not you are in an agri-environment scheme.

The 2003 Woodlands and Plantations Competition - Various classes available.

The 2004 Centenary Lady Ambassador - Candidates must be aged between 18 and 35 years. Previous winners of the Royal Welsh Lady Ambassador/Miss Royal Welsh title are not eligible to compete. The candidate selected to represent the county shall receive a £50 award, together with a sash, on selection evening. The final selection will take place at the RWS Showground on May 18.
