Five fire crews attended a blaze at a farm in St. Florence during the early hours of Monday morning. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus sets used four hose reel jets to extinguish the two-building fire at Red Down Farm, The Ridgeway. The alarm was raised at approximately 12.30 am by an off-duty police officer travelling home, who noticed the fire which had broken out in a haybarn and a tractor and agricultural storage building. Firefighters from Tenby, Pembroke Dock and Narberth attended the scene. Both buildings and their contents were extensively damaged in the blaze, but fortunately all persons resident at the farm were accounted for and no one sustained injury. At this juncture, police are treating the fire as suspicious and are appealing for any witnesses who would have been in the area of The Ridgeway and travelling on this road between Pembroke and Tenby between 8 pm on Sunday and 1 am on Monday and who may have seen the fire or any person or vehicle in that area. They can contact police on 0845 330 2000 and ask for the CID either at Tenby or Pembroke Dock Police Stations.
