The Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on Sunday, which witnesses have indicated involved anti-social driving and excessive speed.

The two-vehicle accident occurred on the A40 near Canaston Bridge at approximately 5.40 pm and involved a motorist who was part of a convoy travelling to a Car Cruise event in Swansea.

Officers would also like to hear from motorists who may have witnessed the manner of driving before the collision.

Both drivers were taken to hospital - one with serious chest injuries who was airlifted to hospital and there were four casualties in total.

"The collision highlights the impact of individuals who drive in an anti-social unsafe manner," said PC Dave Reynolds of the Roads Policing Unit. "The outcome of this incident could have been much worse and potentially become a fatal. I would urge anyone who witnessed this accident to come forward and provide police with any information. It is important that motorists drive in a safe and considerate manner - and be aware of the consequences if they don't

"Police officers will continue to monitor the activity of anti-social drivers and swift action will be taken against those who drive in a dangerous or inappropriate manner.

"Together with partner agencies, we are going to continue to target this minority of drivers who use their vehicles in an anti-social manner and without consideration for the safety of other road users."

Anyone with any information on this incident should contact PC Matt Thomas or PC Dave Reynolds at the roads policing unit on 101.
