The Meningitis Trust, the UK's leading meningitis charity, is appealing for individuals in Cardiff to join this year's Big Fun Run, taking place on Saturday, September 26.
The run starts at 11 am at Bute Park and runners will take the completely flat route through mature woodland and past the Taff River. The 'Big Fun Run' is a growing series of 14 runs being staged across the UK. The distance of each one is 5km, so are suitable for everyone regardless of fitness levels.
Ffion Haf, community development officer at the Meningitis Trust, said: "Whether you are an experienced runner or a first-timer, this is the race for you! As well as completing a fantastic challenge, participants will have also helped us in the fight against meningitis, a disease which affects over 3,000 people a year."

Once you have registered the charity will then contact runners directly.
By participating in the run, participants will join the Meningitis Trust's All Stars team, and will receive a free Meningitis Trust fund-raising pack, which includes a t-shirt, fund-raising ideas, sponsorship forms, and training tips to prepare them for the big day.
