Marie Curie Cancer Care is appealing to readers to take up the challenge of walking a four-and-a- half-mile walk this summer. The cancer charity has just launched the walk to take place at Pembrey Country Park on Sunday, July 15.

The walk promises to be an event for the whole family, regardless of age or fitness. Participants will be given the chance to walk through beautiful pine trees as they follow the Forestry Commission's Pines Trail. They will also be given the chance to spot some truly rare species of orchid and wildlife.

As people make their way around the route, they will be safe in the knowledge that with every step they take, they will be raising vital funds for Marie Curie nursing in their area.
