Now that the children have gone back to school do you find yourself with time on your hands?

Are you a lone parent with at least one child under the age of 16 years old?

Are you working less than 16 hours per week, or not at all?

Would you benefit from New Deal for Lone Parents? Why not find out?

New Deal for Lone Parents is a voluntary programme which aims to get people like you back into work... if you want to!

If you decide to take part, your personal adviser will help you prepare and look for work that is right for you.

This could include: training, advice on 'in-work' benefit available to you and a course of action that will help you move into the work place, i.e. CV writing and help with application forms, perhaps voluntary work.

These are just a few ideas as to how this tailor-made service could help you and your family.

For an informal chat with a New Deal personal adviser, why not go along to the forthcoming Employment Service event in Tenby.

You are invited to a specially organised evening on Thursday, September 12, at Tenby Jobcentre 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

Advice, refreshments, a free prize draw and children's activities will all be available.

You could win a family ticket to Oakwood (kindly donated by Mark Williams, of Oakwood) plus other prizes.

Contact your local jobcentre or telephone free on (0800 028 5656) for more information about New Deal for Lone Parents.
