Last year was another very successful year for the Saundersfoot committee of Cancer Research UK, with a variety of fundraising events being held over the 12 months.

These included a sales table in the Regency Hall every Tuesday from March to December; a table with books and bric a brac at Saundersfoot Harbour every Monday from May to September; New Year’s Day Swim sponsorship and donations; a donation from Vale Holiday Park; coffee and carols; a donation from Merlewood Hotel; coffee mornings; Pancake Day; an auction every November; the Rotary Club Duck Race; collection boxes; collections at stores; sale of Christmas cards and stock; as well as various other donations.

The committee are grateful for all the support received over the year and as a result a cheque for £4,000 was presented this week by chairman George Cavell to Emma Shiggins, local fundraising manager for Cancer Research UK.
