Pembroke U10s travelled to Milford Haven on Sunday to take part in two games of rugby. They had a warm welcome by the hosts Milford who had also arranged for Fishguard U10s to be present.

Pembroke's first game was against Milford. This was the second time this season that the teams had met and all present were hoping for a repeat performance of the high standard of rugby from both teams. Parents and coaches were not disappointed as Pembroke started confidently and an early try increased this confidence.

As the game progressed, Pembroke settled into their rhythm and began to find holes in the Milford defence allowing further tries to be scored.

Once again this week, goal posts were available for conversions which were taken by any of the boys who wanted to try.

The whistle ended a great game of rugby with a win to Pembroke of 54-7. Try scorers were Travis Mathias (3), Jake Wright (2), Iori Humphreys and Dan Urack (2). Tries converted by Iori Humphreys (2), Zac Jones (2), Jack Jones (2) and Ben Callan. 'Man of the Match' for this game as voted for by the opposition coach was Jake Wright.

Pembroke's second opponents were Fishguard, the first meet of the season. The boys once again started well in a physical encounter requiring them to tackle hard in order to retain the ball. The first half saw neither side giving in resulting in both sides scoring a couple of tries. However, after a half time team talk, the boys produced some fantastic rugby resulting in five tries with none conceded due to a strong defensive line. The final results saw another great win for Pembroke at 49-14. Try scorers were Jake Wright (3), Iori Humphreys (2), Travis Mathias and Tom Cabot. Tries converted by Iori Humphreys (2), Zac Jones, Jack Jones (3), and Dylan Evans. 'Man of the Match' for this game, voted for by the Fishguard coach was Iori Humphreys.

Once again a huge thank you to the support of the parents.

Pembroke U10s next game is Pembroke v Llangwm at home, 11 am kick-off.
