JUST a short time after getting back on the road after suffering painful problems with her feet, Tenby adventurer, Rosie Swale Pope has suffered another setback. She had a bad slip on the ice and fell heavily and broke a rib.    But she is once again on the road to recovery after resting up and staying with a couple in Manley Hot Springs, a small village with around 50 people. Everyone was extremely friendly and kind to Rosie, who also gave a talk at the local school. Now she is back on her trek again, the sled 'Spirit of America' is no longer suitable, but the lady with whom she was staying is a bit of a craftswoman and has made an amazing new buggy for Rosie called 'Bunny's Buggy'. It is absolutely fantastic, particularly with Rosie's broken rib, and keeps her from having to have all her equipment in a rucksack.  According to a progress report on her website, it is a bit like a rickshaw that attaches to her waist. Rosie says it is really great and easy to travel with. Rosie will continue taking it easy as she makes her way to her next destination, Fairbanks, around 160 miles away.
