As the countdown to opening continues, it was another red letter day for Bluestone on Monday, with the arrival of an additional 170 new staff. The new intake joined the existing Bluestone staff for their induction day, at which Bluestone chief executive William McNamara gave a keynote address to the team of 325 who will bring his vision alive. "Bluestone is a unique project," Mr McNamara told his recruits. "It is groundbreaking, massively ambitious and representative of all that's best about Pembrokeshire and Wales. It is a project that deserves and demands the highest standards in every aspect of its operation. "For Bluestone to succeed, and for us to repay the trust placed in us, we need the best people aboard and we need them to be working to the full extent of their abilities. "If we didn't have confidence that you could meet the challenge, you would not be here. We only employ people who are very good at what they do; who take personal and professional pride in their work, and who are excited by the idea of being part of an organisation renowned for its refusal to accept second best." The first guests will be arriving at Bluestone this month. Though 325 staff have already been taken on, Bluestone is still recruiting. "Interviews are still taking place, and we will be having more induction days throughout July," said director of human resources, Debbie Rainbow. "We are particularly keen to hear from people interested in working in our housekeeping and food and beverage departments.
