A sunlit Penally Village Hall was the venue for a first anniversary meeting of Pembrokeshire Prayer for the Suffering Church (PPSC) on Tuesday evening, led by Rev. Peter 'Grandad' Richmond. Visitors and regulars alike joined in prayers for the families of three Christians who were cruelly murdered in Turkey recently. Prayer requests from Pakistan prisons were distributed, and letters signed and sent pleading the case of an old Chinese lady. A 20-minute music and slide show presentation was shown. It depicted some of the more memorable situations from each of the countries that had been specifically prayed for over the last 12 months - from Belarus to Uzbekistan. Throughout there was an atmosphere of unity and humility inspired by the strength of brothers and sisters under pressure. Refreshments were served afterwards. Peter, who is currently preaching a series on Daniel in Carringtons Restaurant, Tenby, every Sunday afternoon, mentioned that he had also just started a website for Hesed Christian Fellowship, including a page on PPSC and useful links. The website is still in its infancy, but is fully functioning and can be found at http://www.hesedcf.co.uk">www.hesedcf.co.uk
