The Sunday School anniversary services were held last Sunday, with the afternoon programme given by the members of the Sunday School.

Pastor Gooding presided and the congregation joined in the singing of 'Shine, Jesus, Shine', followed by a scripture reading by Leah.

The Sunday School choir sang some jubilant pieces, 'This is A Catchy Songa', 'Give Thanks To The Lord' and 'God Created The Whole Wide World'.

Recitations were given by Jonathan, Cerys, Ellie and Amy, with solos by Sarah, Ellie and Rachel.

Instrumental pieces were played by Holly on piano and flute, Cerys (flute) and Jacob (flute). Amy and Cerys also sang a duet.

The primary children sang 'Old Man Noah' and the senior members sang 'Lord, I Lift Your Name On High'.

The final item was given by the percussion band, who gave a rousing rendition of 'Praising Jesus The Lord', which aptly ended the service of thanksgiving and praise.

Elizabeth conducted the programme, with accompaniment given by Jayne (piano), Vanessa and Adam (guitars).

The evening programme was given by the adult choir, with Pastor Gooding opening the service and welcoming everyone, before inviting the congregation to join in the singing of 'Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah'.

Kane read the scriptures and Pastor Gooding offered prayer.

The programme was then handed over to Mr. John Brock, a loyal friend to Pisgah for many years, who presided for the evening.

The choir movingly sang, 'Great God of Wonders', 'Fierce Raged The Tempest', 'They That Wait Upon The Lord' and 'When The Saints Go Marching In'.

Solos were sung by Olwyn, Emma, Dave and Robert, with duets by Elizabeth and Jayne and Vanessa and Rachel.

The ladies choir sang 'How Long Has It Been', with the men's choir giving a rendition of 'The Church In The Wild Wood'.

An item entitled 'There is Never A Day So Dreary' was sung by an octet, Trevor, Philip (bass), Roslyn, Janice, (alto), Elizabeth, Vanessa, (soprano), Robert and Terry (tenor), with a trio, 'Home, Beautiful Home', sung by Michael, Terry and Adam and the young people's part-piece, 'When I Survey', sung by Rachel and Emily. Recitations were given by Janice, Jayne and Elizabeth.

Val trained the choir and also accompanied on the piano, with Vanessa and Adam assisting on guitar.

The programme ended a day of fellowship and witness as the gospel message was revealed in music and verse.

This Sunday, the morning service at 10.30 am will be taken by Pastor Gooding. In the evening, at 6 pm, Rev. Roger Hart will officiate.

On Thursday morning, the weekly coffee morning will be held in the schoolroom between 10.30 and 12 noon.
