Sir,

I would like to thank my family for all the hard work they did in helping me put on a Sunday dinner and entertainment at Narberth Rugby Club on Sunday, August 5, in memory of their father, Tom Thomas, and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Narberth Branch of the British Heart Foundation.

Thanks also go to Anne at Narberth Rugby Club for putting on a lovely dinner, when several of her staff were unable to get to the club due to the floods, to everyone who gave raffle prizes, donations to be auctioned during the afternoon and other donations to the British Heart Foundation, to the Young Carers of Herbrandston, who donated £100 on the day, Mr. Brian Jones, of Swansea who also donated £100, to Mrs. Carol Young, who presented £545 in lieu of flowers donated in memory of her late husband, Mr. Mansel Young, to Mrs. Venitia Dunbar for the table decorations and last, but not least, to the people who entertained us on the afternoon, Jodie Marie, Jessica Robinson, who was accompanied by Angharad James, and Mr. Billy Cole; also thanks to Mr. John Warlow who supplied the PA system.

Two beautiful cakes were made by Mrs. Linda Walters and Mrs. Pamela Jenkins, Linda's cakes was enjoyed by the diners and Pamela's was auctioned during the afternoon.

Due to the generosity of many local people and businesses, 35 raffle prizes were drawn on the day; the remainder have been placed in another raffle which will be drawn on November 24 at a British Heart Foundation coffee morning to be held at the Narberth RAOB Club - tickets for this raffle can be obtained from any member of the Narberth Branch of the British Heart Foundation.

Finally, I would like to thank all those who braved the awful weather on the day and managed to get to the Rugby Club for what was a very enjoyable meal and entertainment. A total of £2,011 was raised - thank you all very much for your support and generosity and I hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon as much as I did.

If I have missed thanking anyone, please accept my apologies, but your help and support was also very much appreciated.

Mrs. Edith Thomas,

Hafan,

6 The Crescent,

Narberth.
