An Open Day was recently held at Jumping Beans day nursery to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The nursery has offered childcare for aged six weeks to 11-year-olds for a decade now, and in recent years has offered holiday facilities for eight to 14-year-olds. Maureen Robertson and her two daughters, Jane Taylor and Pam Evans, originally set up the nursery when they relocated from Scotland and, realising that there was little childcare available in the area, took the brave step of setting up their own facility. Many parents turned up with their children to enjoy the anniversary festivities. Karlos the clown spent the afternoon amusing both adults and children with his magic act and balloon models, while children also bounced the afternoon away on the bouncy castle and in the ball pool. Tigger joined them later in the day and everyone knows how much he likes to jump. Face-painting proved very popular and so, too, did the music-making session with Bongo Clive. In all, the day was a great success! Thanks go to all who joined in the celebrations and it is hoped you will continue to support the nursery in the years ahead.
