A train passenger has described a horrifying Bank Holiday Monday incident in South Pembrokeshire.

The lady was a passenger on a packed train travelling on the Pembroke Dock - Tenby line which was involved in an incident with animals on the line between Manorbier and Penally.

"We spent three hours on the train which was severely damaged," said the lady.

"I could smell smoke, the train was shaking and very nearly overturned. We were lucky there was no derailment. This is not the first time this has happened and I have written to the council and transport authorities as incidents like this are seriously out of order."
