During Pembrokeshire Fish Week, John and Sheila, of Pete's Plaice, Tenby Harbour, ran a competition to guess how many prawns there were in a jar. The competition was run each day and the prize was a bottle of wine.
As no-one guessed correctly, they rolled it over each day, until day seven when they decided to take the closest estimate as the winner.
John Gaze from Kilgetty, who has a car dismantling business in Pembroke Dock and is also a fishing enthusiast with a boat moored in Tenby Harbour, was the eventual winner. He guessed 101, when there were actually 103 prawns in the jar.
John and Sheila would like to thank everyone for their kind support, including Kate Morgan, Pembrokeshire County Council food officer, for purchasing the fish required for the cooking demonstration at Tenby Harbour.
