RNLI Angle's Tamar class all-weather lifeboat was launched last Thursday morning, at the request of Milford Haven Coastguard, to search for a missing teenager.

The 16-year old male had last been seen in the vicinity of Hazelbeach, near Neyland, and the lifeboat was launched at 6.50 am.

The lifeboat proceeded to Gelliswick, Milford Haven, where the Y Boat was deployed, and both vessels conducted a shoreline search from Gelliswick up river to Neyland.

Once at Neyland, both boats were requested to repeat the search back down towards Gelliswick. During this second search, information was received that the youth had been found ashore safe and well.

The Y Boat was recovered and the lifeboat was stood down at 8.55 am, returning to her station at 9.22 am.
