RNLI Angle's all weather lifeboat was launched last Wednesday night (June 26) at the request of Milford Haven Coastguard, after a report of a person in the water off the SW Martello Tower, Pembroke Dock.

The Tamar class lifeboat Mark Mason was launched at 10.36 pm. While proceeding to the scene, further reports were received that the person had made it onto the mud flat safely and the lifeboat's Y Boat was needed to transfer the casualty ashore to the awaiting services.

Once on scene, the Y Boat was deployed and went ashore to where the casualty was sighted. The Y Boat picked up two casualties, one of whom -the first informant - had gone into the water to assist the other and, having done so, he also needed assistance.

The casualties were taken to the shore personnel and the Y Boat returned to the lifeboat which was released to return to her station, where she was rehoused at 11.38 pm.
