Sir, I am the parent of two teenage girls who, with several friends, use Silcox buses from 6 pm onwards on Friday and Saturday evenings in term time and more so during the week in school holidays. Like the lady who wrote a very good letter in last week's Tenby Observer, they have not been out of order. It is very unfair to ban the innocent youngsters. Does Mr. Noble exclude everyone from school when there are a few troublemakers? No, he deals with the offenders. Silcox have recently had police officers on board the last service on Friday nights. What a joke. Did it do any good? No, or I wouldn't be writing this now. Silcox should be employing their own security officer like other businesses do, not using ratepayers' money to secure their own business. That police time should be kept in Tenby dealing with the cause of the problems. We also passed that young lad walking to Pentlepoir - I was concerned, but already had a carload of youngsters to drop off at various addresses. He was near Park House and still had the long walk along a dangerous road that over the years has claimed casualties and lives. We are very angry with Silcox's decision to take this public service from our youngsters.
P. Brace,
