A LOCAL cyclist is preparing for a 'North to South' journey in aid of Cancer Research UK
Andrew Ravenscroft from Penally will set off at 5 am on Saturday, July 14, and travel 150 miles from Prestatyn to Newport.
He'll be joined by fellow fundraisers Dai Gower and Rob Arnett, of Raglan, and his brother-in-law, Andrew Howells, of Monmouth.
"I am always looking for a challenge, I think it must be mid-life crisis!" joked Andrew.
"My brother-in-law Andrew and Dai dreamt up this little challenge last year, and having been asked to join the event a while back, I have finally committed myself and started training about a month ago.
"I think that it is going to be a bit of a stretch for all of us, but helping to raise money for Cancer Research gives the whole process of training and taking part a lot more meaning, because its such a worthy cause," he explained.
