WEDNESDAY, August 21, will see the first performance of a new chamber choir, 'Ancient and Modern'. It will be the third summer concert held in St. Mary's Church devoted to the work of young musicians in the area.

The choir comprises seven young singers, aged from 15 to 18, and four more 'mature' singers, providing the choir with a foundation of experience. The choir will be conducted by Andrew Cusworth.

The choir's repertoire befits its name and will include secular and sacred music drawn from the past five centuries. There will also be a number of solo items, including the clarinettist, Louise Hains and the baritone, Paul Keiss.

The concert takes place in St. Mary's Church, Tenby, at 8 pm, on Wednesday, August 21. Entry £2.
