Sir, I can assure Marjorie Bevan that I have no fears, warranted or otherwise (Observer Letters, April 20). I will agree one point, Ms Gwyther does have a big area to cover, as do all the other candidates. For the record, Mrs. Bevan, I have never attended any political party meeting, Labour or other, nor do I have plans to do so, whoever may arrange them. My opinion of elections remains the same, except let's have one extra box - a protest vote box with these choice words next to it: 'I disagree with the policies of the candidate or party'. This may end the apathy for all elections, if such a box was available.
