Saundersfoot Rotary are well known for holding duck races in Saundersfoot’s picturesque harbour each year. Last summer’s plans were frustrated by Covid and, in spite of the easing of restrictions, there is obviously still some doubt over this year’s events!
Nonetheless, one of the (larger) ducks has, optimistically, started training for this year. He has been keeping fit by running around collecting Easter eggs from Saundersfoot Rotary members for donation to the Pembrokeshire Foodbank in Narberth.
Many of the families who rely upon the Foodbank have children and these chocolate eggs will be added to their food parcels providing a welcome treat.
The ‘duck’ is seen in the photograph, outside the Foodbank with the clutch of over 100 eggs. A quacking good job with an eggcellent result.
