A beacon lighting ceremony will take place in Amroth on Thursday, May 8, to remember and celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

The seaside village will join the nation in marking this special day, with the beacon being lit at 9.30pm at the flagpole.

Before that, Whitland Male Voice Choir/Côr Meibion Hendygwyn will also be in attendance to perform at 8pm, celebrating peace and honouring those that lost their lives in war.
