As a result of their brave, or some would say mad effort, local charities have benefited to the tune of £39,000 over the past 15 years.
Two of the charities that will benefit this year are the Riding for the Disabled in Pembroke and Breast Cancer (a topic close to many people's chest!)
If you want to blow away the cobwebs from the night before, then come and 'cheer on' the brave dippers or better still join them in the briny!
The more the merrier, and even better if you can get someone to sponsor you! Sponsorship forms are available from the Amroth Arms on (01834) 812468.
The fun begins with the run into the sea at 12 noon and will continue afterwards with mulled wine and hot pork rolls.
If you are up early enough you could even take part in three swims, with Saundersfoot and Wiseman's Bridge also holding plunges before the Amroth dip.
In previous years at least two people have been known to do all three swims - are there any takers this year?
Don't let New Year's Eve be the end of your celebrations. Join the fun at Amroth on New Year's Day and start the year as you intend to continue - in good cheer.
