Pool players from Amroth are chalking-up for a round-the-clock fund-raising challenge.

The seven members of the Temple Bar Inn team are taking part in a 24-hour pool marathon at the pub to raise money for young Laura John who suffers from cerebral palsy.

Laura's dad, Wayne, plays in the team, who are hoping to purchase a special needs computer with the sponsorship money they collect.

The event cues off at 12 noon on Saturday, March 8. During the evening there will be a real party atmosphere at the Temple Bar, with a karaoke and disco to add to the fun. There will also be a raffle.

One of the seven players will be in action throughout the 24 hours and it is hoped that other pool enthusiasts will join them for a game during the challenge.

The team is a member of the Narberth and District Pool League and all the players taking part have sponsor forms, which are also available from Andrew Rees, the butchers in High Street, Narberth.
