The Amroth Dippers took on the ‘March of the Penguins’ to raise £1,800 in memory of Ann Kingston, for Cancer Research Wales.
Around 60 swimmers braved the chilly sea on New Year’s Day to help raise funds for pioneering cancer research projects here in Wales.
The family would like to thank the Amroth Dippers and onlookers for their generous support. They would also like to thank all local businesses who helped with fundraising and came out to support the swim on the day.
The cheque was presented to Carol and Helen Davies from Cancer Research Wales on Sunday at Amroth Parish Hall.
It is hoped to continue the success of the swim next year, the ‘Amroth Community - Pembrokeshire’ Facebook page will publish up to date information on the annual swim, local events and activities throughout the year.
