I read, with amazement, the local council's decision to set up another Trust to run the De Valence Pavilion, bearing in mind that the previous Trust cost £47,000 per annum.
It is blatantly obvious to all and sundry how much a Wetherspoons would benefit the town.
One only has to look at Haverfordwest, Carmarthen, Paignton, Brixham, Burnham-on-Sea to notice how these places flourish under the influence of a Wetherspoon's.
The question must be posed - why does our Tenby council appear to dig its heels in regarding development and enhancement? Have councillors got pecuniary interests?
