A schoolgirl from Ludchurch has won a £30 token donated by Pembrokeshire County Council's public protection division. Ysgol Dyfrryn Taf student Amanda James-Thomas, of Rhiwganol, was one of many secondary school pupils who completed a questionnaire on young persons' attitudes to the new licensing controls. The survey was undertaken by the county council as part of its consultation on the new licensing policy. The draw was made following the Careers Fair at the Parkhouse Exhibition Centre, Withybush, Haverfordwest, last Thursday. Said Gareth Watts, principal officer within the public protection division: "It is important that the licensing policy reflects the views of young people and Amanda was the lucky individual to win the prize."
