The third All Wales Truck and Transport Show, Wales' premier commercial vehicle event, takes place at Carmarthen Showground on Sunday, from 10 am - 4 pm.

The Red Dragon Monster Truck is coming back by popular demand and the tractor pull, which keeps crowds mesmerised for hours, is now a regular feature of the show.

A very special event has been arranged between Walls Recovery, Swansea, the Mid and West Wales Fire Brigade, Dyfed Powys Police and paramedics.

They will simulate a major road incident, demonstrating how local services can work together to mount a major rescue and recovery operation.

Other attractions are a remote control car display, a wide range of trade stands and a vintage and classic tractor display, including a road run commencing at 6 pm.

A fun fair, catering, bar and free parking will also be available.

The show is run entirely by volunteers and funded by its own income and sponsorship.  The aim of the show is twofold - to organise a truck show and to raise money for good causes.

After the show, the committee will be making a donation to good causes.

As a result of the first two shows, they have given away over £10,000.

In 2007, £4,000 was given to Recovery and Theatre, Glangwili Hospital, and £2,000 to Wales Air Ambulance appeal, while last year, £1,000 each went to Morriston Hospital Neurosurgery Unit in memory of Karen Thomas, KBHS Ltd., the Noah's Ark Appeal in support of the W. F. Hall fund-raising, in memory of their son, Canolfan Elfed Special Needs Unit, QE High School, Carmarthen, and Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen, and £200 to Radio Glangwili to purchase recording equipment to allow them to record more programmes for patients.
