The Rotary Club of Tenby are pleased to announce that their 'McCarthy & Stone Retirement Home' sponsored Summer Event at Tenby Harbour will be this coming Sunday, August 18. This should have been the club's second event for this summer, but unfortunately the first on August 4 had to be called off due to heavy rain.
The weather forecast for Sunday is more promising, and the club is looking forward to a good day of fun for all the family to help raise valuable funds to allow them to continue their charitable support in the year ahead.
The Family Fun day will feature a wide array of live entertainment to suit all ages, along with charity fundraising stalls, children's rides and bouncy castle and not forgetting the Rotary 'Burger Van', licensed bar and soft drinks.
The event will be officially opened by the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Sue Lane, at 3.55 pm, after which there will follow a host of entertainment in the marquee on the harbour car park which is sure to keep everyone well entertained, culminating with a grand firework display at 10 pm.
President Peter said:'We are delighted to put on the summer events for the community, both as an enjoyable family holiday occasion, which is very important for a seaside resort like Tenby, and also as a vital source of charity fundraising for our club.
"I am hopeful of good weather on Sunday' and hope a large crowd will turn out to enjoy the festivities on offer."
Peter concluded: "On behalf of the club, I would like to sincerely thank everyone in advance in anticipation of your valued support, and hope that a great day is had by everyone."
